SPAM STUDIOS ANNOUNCES SELECTED PARTICIPANTS FOR INTERCTION: ART TREMA FEST
The open call for InterAction at Art Trema Fest in Ruma, Serbia, has successfully concluded. From 22 applicants from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo, 8 participants have been selected.
The program will involve three parts:
- Acting Workshop – led by Ana Bateva and choreographer Kosta Karakashyan, a six-day intensive exploring body, movement, and physical presence in situations of isolation.
- Critics Program – a dedicated group of young theatre critics who will attend festival performances and write reflections, fostering critical engagement and exchange with contemporary theatre.
- Discussion on Theatre Criticism with the Jury – an open conversation led by the festival jury, highlighting the importance of theatre criticism, its role in the development of performing arts, and the value of critical dialogue in a festival with an open and participatory approach.
This marks another step in SPAM Studios’ ongoing collaboration with Art Trema Fest, promoting professional dialogue, creative experimentation, and intercultural connections across the region.

This initiative is supported by the “Culture for Democracy” project, which strengthens the independent cultural sector in Serbia, encourages social inclusion, tolerance, the promotion of democratic values, and intercultural dialogue, with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
